I don't believe that you can rely on the Cathay web site to predict when ORD will recommence. This as Cathay don't normally at the moment publish the schedule of destinations to be reintroduced often until a few weeks out. (probably because they don't know themselves how many aircraft they will have available as the recovery and refurbishment from over 2 years desert storage takes about 6 weeks per aircraft even if no major work is needed)
Many media reports in the last few days quoting Cathay named sources that they expect to back running a full schedule prior to the end of 2023.
As ORD was never a 'core' route for Cathay perhaps April/May may be the very earliest.
