How did you use that FFC? Did you start from scratch and apply the FFC at the last step? Or did you start from the old itinerary?
Your original receipt should show the amount of credit used.

I did change the new trip after taking the first leg but before the return. I decided to come home one day later and that resulted in a $33 FFC. Somehow that turned into $66 because I see two $33 credits.
Again, check the receipt for the change and see what specifically it said. It should indicate what FFCs it was generating.
