JFK to /from LAX has pretty much sucked all of 2022. It used to be comfortable and relatable, with good internet and good service.

I’ve flown this route 10-12 trips this year and while I will requalify for PM this trip, I will start shifting some of those trips to JetBlue or another carrier.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work well on most flights, as the old 767s have the ancient ground based system. Half the time they have to reboot it 3 times and often that doesn’t work. The last 3 plans that had Live TV in the seat backs didn’t work (Service Not Available), and the Wi-Fi sucked on those flights as well. I’m not complaining that I couldn’t stream video, rather I couldn’t get my work email and Teams to work due to no/almost no connectivity.

Twice I had seat back units that didn’t work — one had glitchy video and one had major sound issues.

Worst of all, there were two flights where the seat was very uncomfortable in coach or Comfort+, like the inner foam was collapsed, and there were a couple of flights that had lavatory issues.

All of this screams poor maintenance, but since they keep selling these flights out (since there are fewer flights), they don’t give a hoot.
