Ah ok - that would explain it! On Friday I also tried to call the QC tourist bureau, but no one would actually answer the phone even though it was normal business hours - I just got stuck in their recorded message loop. So I was starting to worry that the city had somehow fallen into the river or something...

I'm pretty sad that it looks like the hotel isn't available, as I always very much enjoyed staying there. I guess I need to come up with a Plan B
