They also charge very high shipping costs for this stuff. Last year I had about 6,000 points that I needed to use and was going to order an exercise band until I saw that the shipping costs were about as much as it would cost to buy in a store.
I suspect that SAS want to profit off EuroBonus members just like yourself - you who might be less frequent earners / redeemers and who face expiring points without an opportunity to use them for flights. The prices are never competitive with the best available retail prices, but some will be fooled into thinking they’re getting a deal when in fact SAS probably gets a good handful of kronor on sales and shipping.
