Not substantially different IMO. The 787s are quieter and have slightly better air quality on board. Seats are a jump ball based on the two 772 configurations (Zodiac and Super Diamond, which is the same as the 789) & personal preference.

For saving 100k mikes at booking, I’d go with the CLT routing and monitor for schedule changes or better pricing options, as others have noted. Just have a few more glasses of Piper at the LAX FL to make up for not hitting the DFW FL
