What you do know if that YOU don't place that value on the experience -- which means that YOU would not pay that $500. Are you suggesting that you have evidence that many people who value the experience at less than $500 are still paying the $500?
I’m not an economist nor particularly savvy in mathematics. However I do know $500 is a lot of money for a pasta dish.
