I am never away from my home city for more than 30 days. Would the trip quality for the cancellation/interruption coverage given that returning to the home city is in the middle of the trip?
Hmm the guide to benefits (link in wiki) section on Trip Cancellation/Interruption doesn't really say what a Trip is, just that it has to be less than 60 days to be covered.

For Trip Delay it says quite clearly it's measuring from when you leave your city of residence until you return.

I would say if you return home, that's the end of your trip, regardless of your ticket structure. Then you begin a new trip when you leave again.

But I don't think there's any reports on this thread either way.
