A lot of the special fares on SAA web are restricted to the domestic market. I have been lucky in the past with a leniet agent, but I had to fax them my CC details and was told that this was a one-time favour... Most of the time the offers will not work with a foreign CC.
Have you tried to access the SAA website for your region to see if the fare is available there too?
