Fire talk excuse with thanks it go wrong not the 99.9% of the times Things go right . And some people post the same story over and over again.
If I were a gambler I’d be willing to bet it happens daily, but given between DL and their connection partners they operate what - 2,000 flights a day domestically? So even if it only happens on 1-2 flights each day it’s easy to say it’s not a common occurrence since those 1-2 flights only make up .001% of their total domestic opps.

Frequency of occurrence aside - The main thing I was curious about is DL’s response to those who have been denied an upgrade they were #1 for when there were empty F seats and an agent couldn’t bother to process the upgrade list when there’s no delay and the flight even leaves early. My sense is they simply don’t care, but would love to hear otherwise.
