This is true. Even with the "new" system, I'd get a personal email about once per month from their accounting department making a correction. Their system is so flawed. Two completely different systems do ticketing and refunds. Often, the ticketing system doesn't automatically withdraw funds from the UATP card when ticketing, they don't know why. However, if you cancel that flight, it will still "refund" and credit the UATP. So they have to manually go back and debit the flight that was cancelled and refunded. It's wild.
