I guess I've been fortunate to have never had this happen to me. And whenever I've boarded and I then see the UG has become available because of a noshow or missed connection, the GA has either come on board and moved me up or had the FA do it. I've been DM and MM since the DL/NW merger (now 2 MM) and NW Plat for years and years before that. I've been lucky.
