Overall, I think the St. Regis Mexico City is a fantastic property that is very comfortable and has great service - it's not perfect but has definitely been my favorite hotel in Mexico City so far. Here are my pros, cons, and photos:

Pros:
  • Upgraded to an Executive Suite several days before arrival on a points redemption
  • Suite was ready at 11 AM
  • Suite was comfortable with a great residential design
  • Very plush and soft carpets
  • Great view towards the park and Torre Mayor
  • Couch was very comfortable
  • Internet TV OS on very large TVs in living room and bedroom - latest version and no weird Restricted Mode on YouTube, like Las Alcobas had
  • Bed was fantastic with plush pillows, a just-right mattress, and plush covers - super lovely and a great place to watch the World Cup during the day
  • Shower pressure (shower also has a sauna feature that I didn't use) was fantastic and just as good as Las Alcobas
  • Automated light and climate controls from bedside touchscreen
  • Really great service attitudes
    • Friendly front desk
    • Gustavo the bellman on multiple occasions was quite chatty, which is a good thing
    • Butler service was very friendly - free cappuccinos with biscuits
    • Nice box of tasty chocolates and a glass of champagne as a gift
    • Really friendly housekeeper at turndown had a great smile and gave me 4 bottles of water and Lindt truffles when I asked for some waters
    • Breakfast service was very friendly
  • Asked proactively about late checkout - no issue with 4 PM
  • Property had some great Christmas decorations
  • Free Elite welcome gift breakfast is the buffet and anything you want from the menu - the eggs Benedict were quite good
Cons:
  • No maple syrup available for pancakes
  • Pancakes weren't the best - seemed a tad premade
  • Buffet wasn't refreshed frequently - there was no bacon for my entire meal
  • Some minor wear-and-tear on the carpets
Honestly, the hotel would have been perfect had they had maple syrup. I would definitely return.
