Ah man, that sucks. Killing a growing airline to make room for a new one. Saudia is finally on track towards establishing a presence amongst the big ME3 guys (Etihad doesn't count anymore tho lol). Obviously RIA would definitely not be strict in terms of dressing and alcohol. But completely restructuring and "liberalizing" Saudia and using Jeddah (a beautiful terminal) as their hub while establishing a new halal airline solely for hajj purposes would make more sense and be cost-effective. Let's see how this turns out.
