Brilliant bit of nostalgia - I remember going to the Berni Inn in (I think) Broxbourne, as a monthly family treat - that was late 70s/early 80s.

My brother and I were told that under no circumstances were we allowed the steak, which was probably a blessing because my parents would only have insisted on it being well done (an oxymoron if ever I heard one).

That said, I don't see the 'melon boat' starter option here - that, along with the prawn cocktail, were my normal choices.
