This way you'll be able to get your photos of Singapore's iconic tourist sights to prove you've been there and done that. There are other areas like the resort island of Sentosa but I don't think you've got time to do side trips effectively. Spend your evening in Clarke Quay and then do a walking tour from there to Gardens on the Bay the next day aiming to get lunch in the Gardens and then you'll be heading to the airport.

Also, as a Bonvoy Gold the various elite/lounge benefits that most people here obsess over here are irrelevant to you and you just need to focus on convenience and a nice bed to sleep in so wasting points on a hotel with an excellent lounge makes no sense. From your list, I'd suggest you'll be okay in the Four Points as you can walk from there across the river to some restaurants in the evening or have a pleasant stroll along the river to Clarke Quay which will be lively by the time you get there. It has a pool (not rooftop) but in such a short space of time surely you want to be seeing Singapore. The Westin (I stayed there a month ago) is also a decent location for the tourist sites I've mentioned but I'd only recommend it over the Four Points for what you want to do if you got lounge access which you don't so it's not worth the extra points for you. The Courtyard and Marriott Tang are further away from this area and I don't think you'd gain anything by staying at either if you focus on the main area I've mentioned. Transport in Singapore is surprisingly not expensive. The MRT will get you into town quickly and cheaply but don't avoid taxis from the airport to your hotel when you arrive and/or download and set up the Grab app before you arrive which is the equivalent of Uber to get around and maximise your time on the ground.
I’ve actually got about 8 hours in SG coming up, arriving at 00:30 and leaving again at 09:30. I thought about the transit hotel at the airport or Crowne Plaza and considered FP or the new Serangoon House but in the end, for a few hour’s sleep, I went with Ibis Bugis based on price. Would you have any other suggestions?! I guess the beds are comfortable at FP and breakfast is ok?
