I was on EWR-DFW today at 1:59 PM and had options of beef short ribs or a lasagna. I went with the short ribs and they were GREAT, probably one of the better domestic FC meals I've had. Very tender meat, split with a fork, flavorful, just very nicely executed. Ice cream or cheese/fruit plate for dessert. No PDB this time but nuts and towel as usual. Glad FC looking more like the old days. COVID was brutal!
Can report that beef short rib option on a PHL-DFW
lunch flight in November looked about the same as the picture in post #1885, complete with the shrimp appetizer (some sort of remoulade,
not cocktail sauce). I agree that it was a pretty good airline meal. Sounds like your EWR-DFW lunch was the same.
(Assuming that your EWR-DFW lunch did in fact come with the shrimp appetizer too?)
