My daughter and I are flying EWR-LHR on New Year's Eve and taking the 9:00pm departure on a 772. I currently have seats 11 D/G, but seats 15 A/L are still open (as are 9 A/L and 11 A/L). I generally like to look out the window. However, on the red-eye I figure there will not be much to see until the last hour, hence the reason for selecting 11 D/G so we can sit next to one another and enjoy the time together. Question: Are 15 A/L so much better than 11 D/G, that it would be worth switching? We wouldn't be next to one another, but looking at the seat diagram (which I know is not 100% accurate), it looks like there may be a line of sight from A to L in row 15.
