To answer my question, there was minimal impact. It was just baggage handlers on strike. I was HBO so no impact. The strike over Christmas involves the border control people so I would expect longer lines.
Would be far more useful if link to info you saw was provided instead of just posting "Impact of strike at LHR". There are frequent strike actions at LHR that have little to no impact to UA passengers/operations. Other are obliquely relevant - e.g. ground transport strikes.
