I am laughing..... for so many reasons (including that I even asked - but it is in the context of how many of these properties are local management)

It reminds me of the time last year during COVID - I was staying at a CY for weeks on end, which per the staff, was averaging <15% occupancy..... Hilton started running a double everything promotion.
I asked the management - if they would or could do anything to match the Hilton promotion - never heard anything back - and then stayed 80 days in the Hilton
