I’ve stayed at both the Kanra and The Flag and both were fine. I thought Kanra was nicer but both were clean, had good staff, etc. The Flag was a bit more geared towards younger travelers, backpackers, etc. so it isn’t as “fancy” but I was out of the room for most of the time anyway. I liked Shinsaibashi because I could walk in different directions easily, there were great food options nearby, and the train station (forgot the name) was really close to The Flag and I was using the train multiple times a day.
