AS's management team does a good job at BSing. They do it on their earnings calls, they do it at events like these. Amazingly many of their customers still believe they genuinely care. AS's management team is focused on cutting costs. They outsource as much as they can get away with, they have a very mediocre product, they go into a tailspin every time there is a snow flake in the Seattle area, etc. They aren't doing anything innovative, they gloss over problems, and the days of being focused squarely on the customer are long over. They are lucky that the competition in their part of the world is very weak and without them, there would be far less service in the PNW, so there is some reason for those in the PNW to support them. The rest of the network, not so much. They have gone years without having any focus or long term vision. It seems that will continue to be the case for the next couple of years at least.
Yet they continue to make money, and have double digit ROI, while other carriers their size continue
hemorrhaging dough or panic merge. I believe that is what is referred to as, "Scoreboard".
