if I pay for a premium economy (PE/PP) upgrade, then subsequently pay for a polaris upgrade, would I be refunded for the initial premium economy upgrade?

Someone on reddit said you ARE refunded the premium economy upgrade if you get a polaris upgrade after.

(i read through about 30 pages of the thread and tried searching. i couldn't see anything. apologies if this is redundant).
