I just flew this plane with the updated configuration JFK-MAD-JFK a few weeks ago. I am a pretty dedicated exit row aisle over C+ person and have sat in 34B or the equivalent when flying to/from Europe many times. But I decided to change it up on this trip and try C+ (Gold upgrades came through a few days out both times).
I was traveling solo and on the redeye JFK-MAD, I chose 30B so the person in 30A would still be able to get up and access the aisle without waking me up since I try to fall asleep soon after takeoff. The bulkhead was not quite far enough away to fully stretch out my legs (I am 5'11"), so definitely not as much legroom as 34B. But overall a much more comfortable seat for sleeping - more padding, less cold than being by the exit door, no disturbance from foot traffic by the bathrooms, etc.
On the return MAD-JFK, I instead chose 32F. Better legroom than the bulkhead since you can fully extend your legs under the seat and the person in front of me never reclined at all, which was nice. The person in 32G only got up two or three times, but I obviously did have to stand up and let them out, so would not have been ideal for sleeping as a solo traveler who did not want to be disturbed. Even being in the last row of C+ and closer to the bathrooms, there was very little foot traffic and the seat was comfortable overall.
Just my 2 cents, hope it helps someone out there!
