That's okay then at DEL ... In COK the local taxi union doesn't even allow uber in the vicinity of the airport for pick up.

in fact it's worse even a non local taxi driver coming to pick someone up could end up in trouble.

A taxi driver who we have known for a very long time used his friend's private car and came to pick up a family member .The union members kicked up a fuss. So it's a bit like the CIA / MI5 .

We still don't know how they found that out. We suspect that they keep some database/ photos etc of taxi drivers who drop off people at the airport.

Prepaid taxi service at COK is run by families of those who gave up their land for the airport. I think that was the agreement at the time..So they are very territorial..
