Clear cut to me too. Access should have been granted. OP wasn't traveling solely on domestic flights.

Yep, was traveling in C on the LHR LAX flight. The lounge agents in both LAX and SFO say access is allowed dom-Int’l but not Int’l-dom. I had no problem accessing the QF F lounge at LAX.
And I've received no issue getting into the AA FL/AC on the exact same routing in the past (although flying AA on LAX-SFO).

The odd rule is that LAX AS lounge acknowledged I would have been allowed entry to their lounge IF that LAX SFO flight had been on AA rather than AS. That doesn’t make sense.
