I would also recommend checking out mileage upgrade award availability on United. I've specifically flown on UA on past work trips to Australia / New Zealand under similar circumstances because I was able to do an MUA on UA with cash and miles -- although with pent up demand that might not be doable. If you are part of the Chase ecosystem, you can transfer UA miles over if you don't typically fly UA
I'm all-in on Delta and Amex. Nothing in United or Chase. I called Delta and they're not seeing any options for miles either and think it's a web glitch. Error has been reported and agent said to check back tomorrow.
