Do you still have the box checked to request C+ upgrades? I'd try turning that off if you haven't already. (Even if it is turned off, you can still "self-upgrade" into any available C+ seat, should one become available that suits your preferences, and provided there is still C+ upgrade inventory -- it is possible that if C+ gets close to full, that the last couple available seats may not be made available for upgrades until the gate)
Quick question- I’m just learning about this “self-upgrade” trick now, but I don’t actually have even SM- I have the Reserve card that lets me put myself (and my travel companion) on the upgrade lists, behind all the actual medallions. You can probably guess how well that’s going so far. I’ve only been requesting F upgrades and not C+ mostly because I’m worried they’ll split us up, but does anyone happen to know if this “self-upgrade” method works for Reserve cardholders as well? Thanks!
