Long walk from AirTrain to JFK T5
I'm a NYorker, but was surprised recently about the long walk from the AirTrain stop to T5. Does anybody know why that was necessary and why Port Authority didn't just build the station right into the terminal? Doesn't seem like good value for the fare.
I usually take public transport when I can, and EWR and JFK are actually similar travel times for me. Given that getting to EWR is actually cheaper for me (Path + NJ Transit bus), turns out it's better to choose EWR (albeit a comparatively less pleasant experience for 2 minutes transferring at Newark Penn Station).
