The Team here have been amazing - from the minute that I walked in the door - in fact, even before I got here, I had a few basic questions related to a prolonged stay for my first visit and they have been very helpful. Overall, I have been very impressed by this property - even as a CY - as I think the customer service has been better than many higher end places that I have visited over the years and clearly comes across as being much more sincere.
With regards to my other "question" - I emailed both the operations manager (she gave me her card) and cc'ed the Ambassador email - even though I send my email late on a Saturday afternoon, I got responses from both right away to help work on a reasonable solution.... so far exceeding expectations.
While I am always happy to share positive experiences (and we all know about venting), I do get a little concerned about sharing specific details as that might set up others for unreasonable expectations, get staff in trouble for 'bending rules', or create some other problems as we all know that no good deed goes unpunished.....
Not following "you" closely, but I do look at the Trending Topics and read those that apply to the hotels/airlines I frequent. And anything to do with Marriott is one of them.
And there are not "that" many CY's in Hawaii, so I think you've already blown that cover

. But I wouldn't worry about it, I think we've all had hotels go above and beyond and bend the rules, I know I have personally, and I totally agree that I would never name the hotel in that instance for the very reasons you mentioned.
