Stayed one night at Mandalay with Hyatt points FD removed resort fee after asking at checkout based on Gold status. No issues

At check in I had asked to make sure it was removed and they said it wasn't showing, so should be fine, but when I went to do mobile checkout it was showing so I had to go to the desk.
