Hotels really should realize that they're in a highly competitive business. Especially since the Marriott-Starwood merger, most properties are competing with other, similar Marriott Bonvoy properties. Elite members (not just at the Ambassador level) have reasonable expectations of what Elite benefits and Elite recognition should be, not only from Marriott marketing, but especially from experiences throughout the year at well-run hotels.
