Final definitive response from GGL team this week:
”Thanks for your patience while we looked into your case for you.Unfortunately, the P class fare with Cathay Pacific is not eligible for Avios earnings. The only eligible fare classes are J, C, D and I. I realise this is disappointing for you however, the agreement we have with Cathay at this present time does not include the P class fare.
Your case has been reviewed by our management team in our Executive Club and I'm afraid we're unable to credit Avios or Tier Points for this travel class. Should you wish to discuss this further, please speak directly with the Executive Club as they're in the best position to do so. I regret I'm unable to resolve your case to your expectations.”
So it’s a firm NO to earring Avios or Tier Points on Cathay “P” class for now. Best to credit to another OneWorld program such as Qatar as they use Avios and you can then transfer those to BAEC!
