Stayed for one night and I can confirm it is a very nice hotel, although my cab driver couldn't find the front door. He missed that the entrance is on the third floor off an overpass and drove around the entire building on street level (which incidentally did confirm there is still a lot of construction going on in the building, if not the hotel itself).
The receptionist who checked me in was clearly enthusiastic about her job and had concierge-level answers around all my questions on how and when to get to the places I needed to go to. I would have not hesitated to ask her for dining recommendations if I hadn't plans to eat at the hotel already.
So enthusiastic maybe she didn't catch that I asked about an upgrade as a Globalist, and I didn't mind since I was going to be there for less than 12 hours total. Much more importantly, she offered to ask the restaurant to have a to-go breakfast ready for me right as they opened in the morning as I needed to be out the door at that time to catch a flight.
The room was modern with unique touches to give it some personality, equipped with everything I'd need for such a short stay. Motion-activated lights in the bathroom and bedroom are a nice touch. Nice view out as well. The building is mixed-use so I was on the highest floor of the hotel (7th) but not the building's. A hotel bar is still under construction on the top floor of the building (22nd I think?) and the views should be impressive.
A couple of notes of caution though.
The building is in the shape of a square with a large open air courtyard inside, and the hotel occupies just one side (and not even every floor clearly).
Other wings appear to be still under construction, and while I didn't hear anything in the few hours there, I clearly saw construction equipment in the courtyard through the restaurant's window. Could be noisy at times.
Also, the elevators are at a corner of the building, and all the rooms in the same wing. I was lucky my room was 3 or 4 doors from the elevator lobby, but the end of the hall seemed like a long walk away (I guess about 30-40 rooms per floor).
Bottom line, very much looking forward to my next, longer stay in a couple of months! I will try harder to check out a suite.
