National origin has nothing to do with a person’s ability to do a job and I don’t think this is what you mean to suggest. Maybe protecting local jobs is a better argument?
Hi, thanks for your feedback and question! I definitely did not mean to suggest that professionally has something to do with nationality. Finnair directly employs a lot of people from other countries, who are part of Finnair's own professionals. This is in my opinion said out better in the actual letter, and it only expresses support for all of Finnair's own cabin crew working at HEL base.
I personally have experience with outsourced crew by AAP on Singapore routes. Not all safety protocols were followed, such as cabin light dimming for takeoff/landing during night flight, monitor stowage was not checked, cutlery and glasses were not picked up before takeoff etc. The crew also seemed like they were just there to do a job, they didn't have their heart in it like Finnair, and the service seemed mundane and something you could get on any other airline. This is why I, together with Lemon drafted the letter, and we already have over 50 Platinum/LUMO customers from all over the world who have signed it.
