So the first XPs got in: the acceptance date is even mentioned in the FB account:

25 November: card requested
28 November: physical card received
3 December: 30 XP added to Flying Blue account

In total 8 calendar days from requesting the card to receiving the XP, in this case it secured silver status for my mom, requested via this referral. Interestingly enough I also called Amex to explain that my mom was stuck at 75 XP, needed 100 XP before December 31st and if it would still be in time to request the Flying Blue Amex Gold card. The agent explained that the XP would be posted one week after the first monthly statement, so in this case some time in January, too late. Also on the phone the welcome bonus was 7.500 miles instead of 20.000 via the referral. So I didn't request the card from the agent on the phone, but gave it a chance via the link.
Either the agent could have given wrong information, or the referral requests go much faster than the ones on the phone, but in any case I'm happy with the 30 XP being posted so fast.
