Gotcha. Have you ever experienced a hotel never withdrawing it from your account at all? Did you end up booking another nights with the Ambassador Weekend rate and have it honored?
I've had properties take several months to the withdraw the certificate.
While it's conceivable that you could sneak in a second stay in the interim using the same certificate, you run the risk of a property finding no certificate when they do go to remove it from your account weeks or months later, and then (1) charging you the full rate retroactively or (2) getting yourself expelled from the program.
