So, Miami proper or Miami Beach? If you don't like the beach, you could try the JW Marriott Marquis or Beaux Arts (same building) as they have a game room, bowling alley, basketball court, etc. - these properties are in Brickell, so Downtown and not by the beach. There are good restaurants nearby and lots of shopping. If you still want to be on the beach, I had a nice stay at the Stanton recently - a bit cheaper than the W/STR/RC.
