Does anyone know how backed up BA ticketing are? I have an award booking using AA miles (on a combination of AA and BA metal) requiring approval from BA before being ticketed. I think they have to confirm the taxes because it involves a layover in LHR that is less than 24 hours, thus avoiding UK APD. The flights have both a BA and an AA PNR number and I was allowed to select seats so I know they are held in the BA system, but they have been on request for over 3 weeks now. Travel is not until summer 2023 but I need to book non refundable accommodation and I would like to have the flights ticketed prior to doing so. I realize they prioritize by travel date, but I don’t want to wait months before getting a confirmed ticket.
