Anyone else miss the "good old days"? It was not that long ago that in short haul C, you'd get a PDB, nuts/snack with the first drink round, multiple choices for the meal and for the longer SH routes (i.e. HEL-AGP) even a second meal/snack service before arrival.

Quite awhile, methinks!
I think the last time for me was actually after it was discontinued but still many years ago. Monday morning, boarding complete but pushback is delayed and purser turns to me and says
"
It looks like we are going to be here for a few more minutes. How about some champagne to make the wait more enjoyable?"
If memory serves me right, I was the only one approached with this suggestion. Not sure if I was alone in C or if it was a plat-thing though. But it made that monday much brighter.
