You need to create (if needed) and add a KE SKYPASS FF# to reservation. You then can select seats. The KE system requires one for preassigned settings generally.

I tried this a few years ago, probably 2017 or 2018. It did not work for me. I finally got a seat to stick by choosing a row in the last few rows of the aircraft. Funny though, I still get a KE SKYPASS monthly statement emailed 🤪
