But if you have MSAD, why would you not open Plat CashPlus? In the worst case (ie. doesn't meet any requirement), you still save $35 on it, plus all the other CashPlus benefits.
Did y'all have to open any other account with Morgan Stanley prior to qualifying for opening the Platinum CashPlus account?
Also, did they ask for 25K as the minimum opening deposit?
I only have the Access Direct account, and when I called in to open a Platinum CashPlus account today, they told me that I needed to open another account besides Access Direct, and also fund the Platinum CashPlus with a minimum opening contribution of 25,000 even if I don't plan on meeting the monthly fee waiver requirements. Are one or both of those conditions actually true?
