I recently connected through CDG from AF to DL. It's tight, but it's doable. You won't be able to stop ANYWHERE, not even to go to the bathroom.

In terms of the ATL issue, it is most likely 1:30. For I-D connections, I've usually seen minimum connection times in 15-minute increments (:15, :30, :45, :00), so 1:25 seems odd (again...in my experience). If it is indeed 1:30, there is no wiggle room...the reservation system is programmed to reject the itinerary. IF someone were to "force" the connection, you would not be protected if you miss your connection because it was under the MCT.
