There's a third pin that drives the power for the noise cancellation for the provided headsets. For your own bluetooth headset, you'll want a battery powered dongle and the adapter shown above. On the 77W you also might want a volume limiter because announcements can be very, very loud compared to the normal sound from movies, etc.
Or... just go wired if you're using the IFE. It's not that bad. On the 77W there's nowhere to go (like the bar) with your bluetooth headphones anyway.
