3) I haven't tried that before, but based on my experience so far, everything for DL expires on December 31st, 2023- whether it's a ticket or e-credit voucher- so odds are that your new voucher will expire on December 31st.

I guess I could try and "fight" with Delta for some sort of refund back to my card. And yeah if the expiration of the e-credit was longer this would be no problem at all as there are plans for 2024 in the works that this credit could be used for definitely.
