Sanity check: no seats to select in CE

Hi

I'm a lowly Bronze now (the shame, after so long as Silver), and decided to leave it until 7 days before my CE flight to select our 2 seats for free rather than pay for them. And of course I've been punished for that; when I tried to select seats today, no seats are showing as available on the Manage My Booking seat selection map.

Expertflyer shows availability of 1 ticket in CE class, and their seat map shows all seats taken other than row 8 (the last row) being blocked out. I think row 8 was shown as booked, not blocked, when I checked this morning.

I used to know all this, but not having flown for years I've lost my skills. Could someone kindly tell me when the decision is made to move the curtain back, if required? The three front rows (9-11) of economy are currently shown as blocked so I imagine I'll need to try to grab two seats together in those rows as soon as they become available.

And I guess I can set an alert on Expertflyer (again, my skills are rusty) ?
