Your assumptions on your first two questions are correct. No chance of a refund to your credit card or transferring the eCredit to someone else.

For your third question, I believe the eCredit you'd get back would have the same expiration date as the one you booked with. But they've all been set to 12/31/23 for so long that I honestly don't remember how they worked before.
