I’m considering signing up for AAA but wondering if a may get denied service.

Short version is that I have a truck with oversized wheels and tires. As such, the spare tire that came with the truck wouldn’t ride properly due to being much too small compared to the other 3 tires in the event of a tire popping.

I could always be an identical spare wheel and tire as I have installed, though it wouldn’t fit under the truck so it would take up a lot of space in the bed just for a “what if”, and I don’t really take the truck off road all that often and not usually to rurally if I do.

I will be doing a trip soon through the desert in New Mexico, and since I don’t have a spare, I was considering signing up for AAA, in case I wound up stuck or with a flat and needed to be towed.

I’m just wondering if there’s any way they would end up declining me service, since I’m the one who decided not to have a spare tire with me, and thus needing to be towed rather than just changing the tire. I know they aren’t an insurance company, but maybe they have policies somewhat similar.

I do plan to bring along a tire patch kit and electric pump, but just trying to cover my bases if it will indeed work.
