The DL changes underscore the fact that Delta is fast becoming a bank with airplanes, meaning they make an enormous profit from their partnership with Amex and selling miles to them.

Skyclubs are a Gen Pop nightmare since, as others pointed out, there's no premium lounge. SC's are better than UC and AC's, but lag far behind Flagship and Polaris.

Clubs full of people are a real detractor for premium business fliers, D15/D30 in MIA can fill up with credit card sign-ups, but that is where the money is, so the lounges have essentially become a credit card benefit extension and not so much for frequent fliers.

One thing UA did right is restrict Polaris lounge access. No long J ticket, no enter.
