I certainly would. A HP/HH in a city that doesn’t have any Hyatt properties is much more useful to me than a “lifestyle” brand whose main function appears to be a place to see and be seen. I go to hotels primarily to sleep and store my stuff while I’m out exploring the local environment. Night clubs and “vibrant dining and nightlife” opportunities are huge turn-offs for me as I read this as 100% style over substance.
Like I said in my earlier post (and has been shown in other folks comments) there is certainly a market for these hotels, it just ain’t me. I felt the same way about the resort chain acquisition, an all inclusive sounds like a miserable time to me. The Lindner hotels was actually the most interesting as I enjoy visiting secondary and tertiary cities in EU so now have some options to earn Hyatt points while exploring Germany.
Great that you’re happy with the news though.
